Publishing Support

Clear, vendor-neutral guidance through the publishing decision β€” and hands-on project management when you choose the independent path.

The publishing landscape has never offered American authors more options, and never been more confusing to navigate. Publishing Support exists to give you a clear, unbiased map.

This studio does not own or recommend a specific publishing platform, hybrid press, or paid service. Every recommendation is made in your interest β€” based on your manuscript, your timeline, your goals, and your tolerance for risk. When you decide to publish independently, the studio can also serve as the project manager who keeps every vendor, file, and deadline on track.

What's included

  • Publishing path consultation (traditional Β· hybrid Β· independent)
  • Query letter, synopsis, and full nonfiction proposal packages
  • Agent and small-press research aligned to your manuscript
  • Independent publishing project management (cover, interior, ISBN, metadata)
  • Coordination with copyeditors, proofreaders, designers, and printers
  • Print-on-demand and ebook distribution setup oversight

Who this is for

Authors with a finished or near-finished manuscript who need to decide how to publish, and authors who have decided to publish independently and want a single accountable point of contact across vendors.

What you walk away with

  • A written publishing recommendation matched to your goals
  • Submission-ready agent or proposal materials, when relevant
  • Production-ready interior and cover files (when managing indie publication)
  • A realistic, honest sense of what each path will cost in time, money, and effort

How pricing works

Every engagement is quoted as a flat fee based on word count, complexity, and timeline. You'll receive a written estimate before any agreement is signed, and the fee will not change unless the scope itself changes β€” in writing, with your approval. Most clients prefer a 50% deposit with the balance due at handoff; payment plans are available for larger book-length projects.

Common questions

Do you publish my book for me?
No. The studio is not a publisher and does not take rights to your work. We either help you submit to traditional or hybrid publishers, or we project-manage your independent publication through trusted third-party vendors that you contract directly.
Will you tell me which publishing path is right for me?
Yes. After reviewing your manuscript, goals, and resources, you'll receive a clear, written recommendation. The recommendation is vendor-neutral and based solely on what we believe is in your interest.
Do you take a percentage of book sales?
No. The studio earns flat fees for the work performed, never royalties or a percentage of your future earnings. Your intellectual property and your revenue remain yours.
Can you help me with audiobook production?
Audiobook production is referred to specialist studios and narrators in our trusted network. We're happy to coordinate that handoff as part of an independent publishing engagement.
